At our farm we desire to be as self reliant and self-sustainable as possible. This desire is inspired by my father's dream. In a world of chemical sprays my dad wanted to find a way to grow plants in a healthier way. As a child in the 40's he also desired to be more self-reliant. He shaped who I've become today, and we try to continue his legacy on our farm.

About Us

Mel's busy farm started from a passion for flowers and gardening and grew to include bees! Melanie, the owner, has been gardening her whole life but specializes in dahlias.

In the past decade she has taken up beekeeping as well and quickly fell in love with the hive life and caring for "her girls". All the honey is high quality raw honey harvested right here on the farm.

In spring of 2025 we began to make beeswax food wraps as well and have found joy and satisfaction in providing in eco-friendly substitute for plastic wrap and baggies.
